Razer’s new wireless Viper V2 Pro mouse is lighter than previous versions
Razer has released the successor to one of our favorite lightweight gaming mouse lines from the past few years, the Viper. Known for their lightweight form factor, these mice are easy to move despite long battery life. It has all the advantages of the Viper V2 Pro, which includes a smaller footprint and a full skeleton frame. It appears to be nearly brand new. The Viper V2 Pro will continue to follow in its footsteps, but it will have some innovative features that look really appealing.
Razer is introducing a brand-new sensor for the Blade Pro, dubbed the Focus Pro 30k Optical Sensor. It delivers 99.8 percent precision, and it improves its accuracy with smart tracking, motion synchronization, and asymmetric cutoff.
Given that the previous 20k version has already received a lot of plaudits, this news is remarkable. We discovered the Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse to be one of the finest we’ve seen when we tested it.
The Viper V2 Pro is 20% lighter than the original Viper, weighing in at 58 grams. The Razer Viper 8KHz is one of our favorite lightweight gaming mice, weighing 71 grams. Even our beloved lightweight mouse, the SteelSeries Aerox 3, has a weight of just 66 grams. With the release of the Viper series, we’ll be able to see if gamers notice any reduction in weight.
The Viper-series mice have always had a good click, but one of the few criticisms we’ve ever observed was that it felt a little responsive and perhaps even frail. The Viper V2 Pro is out to prove that it can improve on the Razer Optical Mouse Switch’s success with the new 3rd Gen. They’re certified for 90 million clicks, and they promise no double taps or debounce lag, so we’ll see if they feel like a step forward.
As predicted, the stunning new mouse comes with a price tag to match its beauty. The Viper V2 Pro retails for $149 or AUD$259.95, which is more than the outgoing version. The Viper V2 Pro is a little more expensive, but it has a 30k optical sensor and is small enough to fit in your pocket.
