The season Sword and Shields just came into existence yesterday in Marvel Snap. Early reports and testing suggest he might be the most underwhelming season pass card so far, as he has a 5-cost, 7-power card that adds three random 6-cost cards to his hand.
It’s a fun card to play around with, but not necessarily meta-defining like Wave was back in the first season. Thor and Daredevil proved to be decent season pass cards that found their place in various decks, but Nick Fury is definitely in a bad place right now.
For those who haven’t picked Nick Fury up, then Marvel Snaps new location will let you see how his ability works. The triskelion is a local who won’t spawn 3 random cards. They’re not 6-costs, so you could draw literally anything when the place begins to become known.
This definitely generates some snags for players who don’t play a lot of cards in the early game, as it would mess up your draws for the late game. Also, you’ll definitely need to build around that. Unlike hot locations, featured locations only have a 40% chance of showing up in your games. This will be applicable for the next two days.
Marvel Snap is currently available on mobile devices in closed beta.
