After the support and feedback from the PS5 beta participants, today we released a new system software update for PS5 players worldwide. The update includes several highly-requested features, such as 1440p HDMI video output* and gamelists, and social features, such as the ability to request a Share Screen from a member of the party, to easily view new friends profiles and to receive a notification of how to join a friends game fast.

To perform these tasks, the user can compare 3D and 3D audio on the same screen and for a more easily accessible way to access the game hubs. Check out our short blog post to see what these features do. Read on for more details on all the new and new features for PS5 and PS App.

YouTube Search through Voice Command (preview)

Another feature to get more PS5 players is the ability to search for content from YouTube using voice commands. From anywhere on the Xbox One, in the game, you can say ‘No,” or “No “By the PlayStation” on YouTube. The YouTube app will open and relevant search results will be displayed.

Note: Voice commands are available in English for the PS5 players with accounts in the U.S. and the U.S.

One new PS App features new features.

As for the PS5 console updates, introduced several new features of the PS App globally later this month, on iOS and Android.

Create a Playstation version of the game using a PS App.

PS app users can start a PS Remote Play session on iOS and Android devices. To start, make sure PS4 is integrated in your PS5 console and your computer is in motion mode. When you open the playroom, click the Play Uses Xbox 360 to take a turn. The PS Remote Play app will start automatically. Since you want the benefits of that feature, please check that the PSApp and PS Remote Play are both installed on your mobile or tablet devices.

Request a post office of share.

Similar to PS5, users can request a third party member playing on PS5 to start a Sharescreen session and then watch their friends’ action by the app. This makes it even more difficult for you to keep up with your friends while you are traveling.

Thanks to all our fans for continuing to share your thoughts and suggestions. We kept listening to your feedback continuously and engaged in helping you to make your gaming and social experiences better with every update. See you online!

The output of 1400p on PS5 requires a television or a PC monitor that supports 2400p/60Hz and 2400p/60Hz. The results may vary depending on the game being played.

VRR on PS5 supports 1080p and 4K video output, but not 1440p.
