AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processors, which run with Zen 4 cores, are already hitting the retail market on September 27th. But some guy got hands on a revolving Ryzen 7 7700X and turned in the CPU-Z octacore.
The Ryzen 7 7700X submission is no longer available (opens in new tab), but lucky for us, the tech detective Tum_Apisak grabbed the screenshots of the results. The Ryzen 7-7700X compared to the Core i5-12600K by 1% in single-threaded performance. It didn’t manage to catch up to the Core i7-12700K. When we compare the Zen 4 chips to the AMD CPU, the Ryzen 7 7700X outperformed the Ryzen 7 5800X by 21 % and the Ryzen 9 5950X by 20 %.
The Ryzen 7 7700X jumped 11% ahead of the Core i9-12900K. The Zen 4 processor had an eight o’clock lead over the Core i7-12700K. However, like the Ryzen 7 5800X, it also outpaced the Ryzen 7 7700X by a 28% delta in multithreaded performance.

According to the CPU-Z listing, the Ryzen 7 7700X beat 5.425 MHz, which is the clock’s speed for the Zen 4 chips. The user tested the octa-core processor on Gigabyte’s X670E Aorus Master motherboard and DDR5-6400 C30 memory.
An initial benchmark revealed that Zen 4 has a promising future. For example, the Ryzen 7 7700X delivered 32% higher performance in Cinebench than the Ryzen 7 5800 in R20. Nevertheless, we still recommend waiting for official reviews since you can’t measure a processor’s performance using two benchmarks.
The Ryzen 7 7700X is being shipped on the shelves for three centigrade. For comparison, the Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 7 5700X debuted at four49 dollars respectively. The Zen 4 parts are 13 o’clock cheaper than Ryzen 7 5800, but 33 o’clock cheaper than Ryzen 7 5700, that’s exactly the same as the one-time replacement. You’ll also need to add a new motherboard and an additional DDR5 memory that can bring the platform for about the same price as the 800 mark.
