The deal to buy Activision Blizzard from Microsoft isn’t yet in the bank. In keeping with the remission of antitrust records, the American corporation is waiting for a fair sale. Still there are always rumors that the deal could fail. Sony is particularly opposed to the merger, which fears the future of Call of Duty.

After two years, Daniel Ahmad, Senior Analyst at Niko Partners, visited social media to share some interesting information from Activision Blizzards reports. According to these reports, Sony generates much more revenue for Activision Blizzard than Microsoft. And in 2020, Sony was the most profitable company for publishing companies (including third party partners).

As you can see from the table below, Sony accounted for 17 % of Activision Blizzards total net revenue in 2020, which is about $1,37 billion. To the other hand, Apple was 15 %, to the other hand, Google (14%) and and on the fourth, to Microsoft (11%).

In 2021 the share of Sonys fell to 15%, and Apple and Google lost first place for each of them. Microsoft earned less than ten percent of Activision Blizzards’ net income last year.
